About the role
We are looking for a super dynamic and outgoing leader to help us grow our business across the region. The role covers all our current countries – Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Bangkok, Taipei, Japan and Australia. This role suits someone with ambition – not necessarily with years of management experience but an enterprising problem solver with a proven track record of growing revenues, exceeding sales targets and managing operating teams highly effectively.

As the Regional Manager, you will be reporting directly to the COO, and will be responsible for the following:

Goals and objectives

  • Ensure operations and sales across 7 countries are exceptional
  • Encourage every country to outperform across all the activities such as Events, Social Media, Sales and Customer Service
  • Build a creative and collaborative community through events and personal interactions
  • Direct Sales to exceed targets, ensuring the entire sales process is highly professional and effective – from first contact to negotiating and finalising contracts, in every location
  • Work collaboratively with each Country Manager to ensure they have clear objectives and received regular constructive feedback
  • Work with Head of Experience, the Country Managers and front of house teams to deliver a 5 star customer service – the Hive Experience at all times
  • Collaborate with all Head of Departments and the teams at HQ to learn and share best practices across the network
  • Be strongly motivated by the P&Ls of each and every location and country – our goal is nothing less than 30% margins everywhere.
  • Duties and responsibilities

  • Seek and develop ways in which our effectiveness as an organisation which is spread across so much territory, is constantly improved so that we achieve a very high level in the consistency of delivery of our service
  • Maintain Occupancy Metrics
  • Prepare monthly Manager’s Report and share internally to relevant stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure the country’s finances are up to date
  • Work alongside and make recommendations to New Projects team regarding maintenance and revenue improvements of all spaces
  • Identify, follow up and resolve any issues, such as cleaning, IT related issues, dissatisfied members, electrical equipment and so forth
  • Identify knowledge gaps, and where necessary train and/or arrange training with People Team
  • Provide learning and development opportunities, and make recommendations to promote star Associates
  • Hold one-to-one meetings to track individual performance on a monthly or quarterly basis with the People Team
  • Hold weekly team meetings to delegate, recognise achievements, encourage, and keep the team up to date with any process changes
  • Compile and present useful data in weekly updates and monthly reports to COO and CEO
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of the competition and markets
  • Liaise with external partners and develop relationships
  • Be forward thinking and plan for any challenges that may be faced
  • Experience and requirements

  • Bachelor University degree required, an MBA is a plus
  • At least 3 years experience in min one area – Start-ups, Hospitality, Airlines, or F&B or any other relevant area
  • A minimum of 2+ years experience in managing a location or the P&L of a business
  • Natural passion for entrepreneurial business approaches
  • Outgoing and naturally good at engaging with partners and customers alike
  • Polished personal presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and fast thinking
  • Attention to detail and plenty of initiative
  • Very strong commercial mindset
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages are a plus
  • Critical competencies for success
